Hafto Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026. Hafto ("we", "us") helps you capture recommendations and share them with your trusted circles.

What we collect

• Your recommendations — the places, products, notes, ratings, links and photos you add.
• Your circles — the circles you create or join, and their membership.
• A device identifier — a random ID (stored in a cookie / local storage) so your account and circles persist on your device. We do not require your real name.
• Approximate location — only if you enable it, to show nearby results. We store a city, not precise coordinates, and never in a URL.
• Basic usage — actions like adding or loving a recommendation, to run the service.

How we use it

To provide the core service: save your recommendations, share them to the circles you choose, answer questions from your circle's picks, and show relevant results. We do not sell your personal data.

Sharing

Recommendations you post to a circle are visible to that circle's members. When you tap Share, you choose where it goes (e.g. WhatsApp) — that content leaves Hafto and is governed by that app's policies. AI answers are generated from recommendations available to you.

Third parties

We use service providers to run Hafto (hosting, database, and AI to structure recommendations and answer questions). They process data only to provide these functions.

Affiliate links

Some action links in Hafto (for example Order, Book, Buy or Watch) are affiliate links. If you use one and make a purchase or booking with that partner, Hafto may receive a commission from the partner at no extra cost to you. Affiliate status never affects which memories or recommendations Hafto shows you or how they are ranked. When you tap such a link we open it through a Hafto redirect that records that the link was tapped (the link category and destination site, not your purchase).

Your choices

You can edit or delete your own recommendations, leave or delete circles you own, and keep recommendations private ("Just for me"). To request deletion of your data, contact us.

Children

Hafto is not directed to children under 13.
